February Public School Vacation Week Happenings

Monday, February 20
Closed in honor of President’s Day

Tuesday, February 21
* Paws to Read with Tessie: Meet & Greet at 2:00 p.m.
Come by to spend some special time with our favorite labradoodle therapy dog, Tessie and her owner/trainer Pat Fleming.

* Where the Mountain Meets the Moon Book Group at 3:00 p.m.
Children grades 3 through 5 are welcome to come for a reading from Grace Lin’s award winning book Where the Mountain Meets the MoonFollowed by a calligraphy craft, discussion and snack.

Wednesday, February 22
* The Yo Yo People at 3:00 p.m.
Join us as we welcome John and Rebecca Higby to perform their yo-yo magic!  High skill and energy combined with deft acrobatics, music, and humor make the Yo-Yo people a favorite for all ages. This husband and wife comedy duo has performed on David Letterman, PBS Fetch, The Discovery Channel and in 18 countries.

Thursday, February 23
* Tech Take Apart at 3:00 p.m.
Ever curious about what the inside of technology looks like? Come explore the inner workings of everyday office and household items.

Friday, February 24
* TROLLS at 11:00 a.m.
Showing on our big screen, families are welcome to bring a snack for this PG rated film by DreamWorks.

Saturday, February 25
* Tales and Treats at 11:00 a.m.
Join us for stories about penguins, enjoy munchkins, juice, and make a craft to take home. This program is designed for ages 2 and up.

* Acoustic Open Mic at 2:00 p.m.
Peter Stewart leads this event focused on creating a supportive atmosphere for musicians, students and first time performers.
