Children's Booksale

Join us Wednesday, July 1 for our one-day children's and young adult booksale. Stock up on a whole pile of summer reading and stay to enjoy our movies:

Toy Story at 1:00 pm
and
Big Hero 6 at 3:30 pm

Sale runs from 11 am to 7 pm. Proceeds benefit the Friends of the Hamilton-Wenham Library who support our summer reading program, museum passes, and much more!

"Every Hero Has a Story" - Summer Reading 2015!

Summer is almost here! Registration begins on Monday, June 29 at 10:00 a.m in the Children's Room. You may register for programs, pick up your reading log & time sheet, and start earning Dyn-o-mite dollars to spend in the "Library Store". For a complete list of summer programs click here.


Are you looking for some new books to add to your collection at home? 
The Children's Book Sale is scheduled for Wednesday, July 1. 
This is a ONE DAY sale. Shop the sale, and enjoy a movie together as a family! 
Toy Story (G) is from 1:00 - 2:20 p.m. and Big Hero 6 (PG) is from 3:30 - 5:15 p.m.

Catapults Workshop

There is still room in our catapult workshop! This program is for ages 10 to 15, and is scheduled for Thursday, June 25 from 3:30 to 5:30 PM. We will build a mini, wooden catapult. The first half of the workshop will be spent crafting the catapult. In the second half you will be testing your catapult and improving your design.  Please register at the Reference desk. Ducks Like Rain & Storytime!

Join us on Saturday, June 20 at 11:00 AM for a special story program featuring live ducks, with their owner, Elise D'Ambrosio. There will be stories, songs and plenty of time to meet the ducks up close! This program is recommended for ages 2 years and up. No registration necessary.

Children aged Kindergarten through grade 3 are welcome to read to Tessie, a certified Therapy Dog. Please pre-register in the Children's Room.

Science is Everywhere! National Geographic Kids

Science is everywhere! Each month we are highlighting a STEAM-centric magazine available in the Children's Room. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. 

In June, we'll be looking at National Geographic: Kids. All children's magazines can be checked out for one week, with one renewal. For a full list of our children's magazines subscriptions, click

National Geographic: Kids - Suggested for ages 6 - 14
This fan-favorite is loaded with games, weird facts, quizzes, and educational articles.

June/July 2015 Highlights:
