The New England Aquarium Presents Tidepool Adaptations
Maris of The New England Aquarium visited the Hamilton-Wenham Library during vacation week, and we had the chance to observe a variety of coastal critters, including clams, oysters, sea urchins, mussels, snails, sea stars and a bunch of different crabs to name a few. We learned so many fun facts about sea creatures that live right here at our local beaches. Some of us even got to dress up as a sea star! After a dynamic presentation, we had the chance to meet and hold the animals in the touch tanks. The wiggly sea star podia, or tube feet, were really neat!
